Parker 51 Set Ca1945 MintwboxnosmustardscarceParker 51 set ca. 1945 mint condition w/box-new old stock-scarce yellowstone-yellow mustard color-double jeweled-unbelievable! This is an unbelievable parker 51 set made in the usa in the first quarter of 1945. The set comes from my private collection and is the finest example i have ever seen. Vintage epns do not get any better or scarce than this. The set is as pefect as could eb and shows no signs of use anywhere on the pen or pencil. The color si in the rarest and most sought after yellowstone yellow (mustard) on the barrels. The pens clip is made of solid 14k gold and si marked 14k. The clip is marked 1/10 16k gold filled made in usa. There is a perfect blue diamond on the pens clip, indicating parfer's lifetime guarantee. The pen has grey pearescent jewels on the top and bottom. It has a place to engrave ones name on the cap and has no engravings. There are no nicks, scratches, dents, dings, teeth marks or brassing anywhere on either piece. The set is so perfect it looks like it was made just today. There are tight converging lines with spaces in between, running throughout the caps of each piece.
The pens barrel reads parker 51 made in usa and has a date code of 5 with three dots around it indicating the pen was maed in the first quarter of 1945. The pencil is also in perfect condition with its original full eraser, unused. It ahs its original lead in the barrel and all of its extra lead in the chamber. The blind cap on the pen is a perfect match to the barrel and it is difficult to even see where it is. This is the most pristine a set as could be.
It is hard to put into words. (truly unbelievable) the box is equally as nice and is in a++++ condition. The pencil also has a grey pearescent jewel on top of the cap. The cap reads 1/10 16k gold filled made in usa the pens nib is a 14k glod with a firm feel to it and appears to be a medium point. The pen is a vacumatic filler in perfect working order. An unbelievable and very scarce parker set in the famous yellowstone yellow (mustard) color for the serious pen collector, but also will make an outstanding writer for a lifetime.
